Celebration Challenge
Fun and Easy Ways to Raise Dh
25,000 for Race Against the Rain by March 25

1. It’s a Bust –
Sell balloons for Dhs 25 each and insert a number in each
that corresponds to a raffle ticket given to the purchaser. Pop a balloon for
each available prize and read off the winning number.
2. Change It – Start
a competition between 25 classes, give each section a large water bottle with their section photo
and the Race Against the Rain logo
on it and collect change before the 25th March deadline. The one
with the most collected wins a prize.
3. 25/75 Raffle – Sell
raffle tickets and offers 25 % of the proceeds as prizes.
4. Going Once, Going
Twice – Seek out 25 service and product donations from
companies and hold a silent auction
5. Matching Gift – Ask
a company match any donations your group collects by March 25th.
Then, contact other
companies to match the gift.
6. Trendy Bracelets –
Each member of your group sell 25 silicone wrist bands that

7. Work of Art – The
children of Honour Village have made some wonderful designs that could be
transferred onto 25 coffee mugs for purchase.
8. Bail Me Out – Handcuff
two willing fundraisers and let them lose when they raise “bail” – Dhs 250
9. Strike Gold – Participants ask friends and family to donate 25 pieces of old jewelry they no longer wear and turn the gold in for cash.

10. Go Hairless for 25 days – Volunteers
commit to shaving their heads if a specified amount is raised by a deadline.

Choose the Torture – Have
donors pay Dh 25 a vote to decide which form of
“torture” to inflict on your teacher (i.e. wear a wig, dress as a clown,)
12. Skip a Meal (about Dh 25) – Sponsors
commit to giving up a meal together and give the money saved to Race Against
the Rain.
13. Start a coin trail in the canteen and try to make it 25 feet
long.
14. Egg ‘Em On – Get
25 eggs and ask people to donate Dh25 for doing certain
things with the eggs – where old clothes!!! (i.e. juggle, crack it on your
head, throw it up and catch it).
15. Reverse Raffle – All potential sponsors get a raffle ticket and sell it back for Dh 25 to avoid getting their name drawn to do something embarrassing.

and sell 25 T-shirts advertising Race
Against the Rain.
17. Another Man’s
Treasure – Collect unused items from group members to be sold at a Dh 25 stall.
18. X Marks the Spot –
Sell table tennis for balls for Dh 25 each (put
student ID number on it) and throw them across the lawn - the “tosser”
blindfolded. The 3 that get closest to the center of a taped “X” below win cash
prizes.
19. Eat for a Cause –
Ask a local restaurant to donate 10% of their profits on 25th
March to Race
Against the Rain in exchange for encouraging 25 students to eat
there.
20. Hold a tug of war – the loosers have to give a Dh 25 donation.
21. Collect donations for wearing the football shirt of your rival club
22. Organise a 25-hour play-station or table
tennis tournament
23. Challenge motor mouths to shut up and do 250-minute sponsored
silence – good for teachers!
24. Paint a pin board with a Ghaf giving tree and have friends pin Dh 25 in Dirham
notes onto it.
25. Use BB messenger to organize a flash mob for throwing Dirhams into
a
25- gallon oil drum at the sundial
