Hi Everyone

Please do not waste my time just because you want a higher grade.

CFH Classes on Wednesday 5th June

Hi Everyone

We are nearly there!!!!

There is one last Cultural Diversity make-up class. It is in T006A at 12.30 - 2:30.

The students who have not done their presentation yet must be there at 12:30 to sign for their new time.

Wafa you must start your presentation at 12:30.

At 1:30 the group who needs to show me their film must be ready to do so.
Amer's group - there is no sound on the one you gave me. Please bring your film with the sound working.

The make up exam will be at 3 o'clock in J29. Do not be late. Only students doing the exam need come.

Any queries regarding grades, please come to class at 4 0'clock. Of course just wanting a higher grade will not get you one!!!!!

CGD class on Tuesday next week

Hi Everyone

I will be finishing the presentations today and if you have to do a make up activity you must also be in class today.

Everyone must come to class next Tuesday.
Several people will be having their presentations filmed. I will contact the individuals today. Please check your emails and send me a copy of your PowePoint which I will correct.

The film will be uploaded to the college website and you will be able to use the link as proof of your speaking ability on your CV.

Unfourtunately there will not be time to film all the good ones.

Tueday will be the last day to querry any grade. Of course just wanting a higher grade will not get you one!!!!

CEH Class 12:30 class today

Hi Everyone

Please have your blog ready by 12:30 today.
I will be in the library. Please bring your laptop and be ready to discuss your blog posts.
Please bring a hardcopy of your final course reflection.
I will chat to each one of you for five minutes. Please come to see me in the order that you are listed on the class roster. (Or earlier if you have a good reason to jump the queue!)

I cannot find the links on your blogs for the other teams.

Your mark will remain at 0 for reflection 1 unless your team sends me an email with the subject heading and insert the URL into the email.

Fail grade for your blog

I have just looked at two blogs that are completely plagiarized. Please delete the posts.

If you plagiarize you will get an F grade for your blog.

Plagiarizing is cheating and you will be sent to the supervisor.

Please do not expect good marks for your blog just because you have written something - it must be enough and good quality.

Have you really prepared for your presentation?

I am very aware that many students have ot prepared at all for their final presentation. Today I am going to put a D mark into the gradebook for everyone so that they can see what their final mark will be if they do not prepare.

Of course, it could be even lower! I gave a zero for a presentation last week - the student was an excellent Englsih speaker but he just had not prepared at all and did not know the subject.

 I also gave 4 100%s.

Prepare, prepare, prepare!!!!

If you have finished your Final Cultural Diversity Presentation you do not need to come to class tomorrow.

For your final Cultural Diversity Presentation you must:-

1.       Be on time

2.       Be ready with your presentation on a USB

3.       Have your marking rubric filled in with your name and ID and time

4.       Have your marking rubric stapled to a copy of your PowerPoint presentation

5.       Be able to answer any questions about the Cultural Diversity topics which we have covered this semester

6.       Do not forget that it is 30% of your course mark

In your Presentation, please include the following:

Length

To make sure you have covered everything, you will need to speak and present for about 15 minutes, including Teacher’s Question Time at the end.
